About This Blog

I was a gaming geek as a middle and high school kid.  I took a long hiatus for most of college and my early professional career... but once my own kids were middle schoolers themselves, guess what?

It turns out that gaming is hereditary, and my kids got it from me.  And I re-got it from them, too.

So this blog is a mixture, a celebration of games generally, but also in part a reflection on "old school" for the younger ones, a source of my own game reviews, and---maybe---a source of material for your own games.

I'm not particular about which games we're talking about, either, as long as it's not a forced-choice board game like, say, Candyland (which is literally zero choice, and fixed once the deck is shuffled) or Monopoly (which isn't zero-choice, no, but there's usually only one "smart" choice, so forced-choice).

This is probably mostly about role-playing games; it's easy to write about those.  But board games and card games and dice games and whatever other games are all also in-bounds.
